Panoramic View

There are many free sights to see in Abu Dhabi, you just need to know where to look.  For instance, I have been longing to see the miraculous views from the tower in the Marina Mall, but I did not want to spend the money on a dinner in the revolving restaurant.  Instead, I went to the coffee shop, just below it and the sight was amazing!

It is a daunting ride to the top, if you are afraid of heights.  I was placed in a glass elevator that rises from the center of the mall towards the sky.  My stomach dropped slightly, causing me to look away.  However, from the oohs and ahhs, it must have been a great sight to see.  Once the doors opened, I was standing in a lovely coffee shop with seating all around the outer edge, facing the windows.  It was breathtaking.  And yes, I was ok once I arrived at the top.

The cranes are atop the buildings.  Look closely.

The prices on the menu were very reasonable and had a wide variety of flavors.  I am not much of a coffee fan and opted for the ice cream.  It was a great way to enjoy the views and share a sweet treat with my friends.

After I had finished my treat, I roamed freely around the floor.  It is a 360 view of the city, with floor to ceiling windows.  Finally, I was able to appreciate this modern city in its magnitude, architectural innovation, and style.  It is a great feeling to look around and see an economy growing, with cranes on every rooftop.  It is reassuring, to know that my job may be secure when elsewhere in the world, the economy is collapsing.
The elevator to the top!
