Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

It is a difficult time, trying to sightsee in the UAE during Ramadan and Eid.  Eid is the holiday that celebrates the conclusion of Ramadan.  This is usually celebrated for three days and the city pretty much shuts down.  All major tourist destinations are closed.  Except for Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Center of Ferrari World
G Force
I went today with my fellow co-worker and her daughter.  The cost was pretty hefty 225 AED or $60.00 USD.  The main feature of the indoor amusement park is that it has the world's fastest roller coaster (Formula Rossa).  It reaches speeds of up to 150 miles per hour.  I will admit though, fear got the best of me, and I did not ride it.  I was going to ride another roller coaster (to prepare for the big one), but unfortunately, due to the high humidity, the coaster was closed for the day.

There is a great 3d virtual ride, Speed of Magic that was really fun, along with Driving with the Champion.  In the center of the park, is the G Force.  The ride launches you 62 meters into the sky.  An interesting note: The muslim women that wear the hijab (headscarf) must wear another, more fitted scarf over theirs.  This is given before you ride the G Force.   There are a few race cars rides for younger children, but overall, the park was ok.  If you are into race cars, though, this is the place to be.  You can practice working in the pit.  You become part of the crew and learn how to remove a tire in record time.  There is also a museum and interactive rides that teach you all about the making of a Ferrai and engine.
Pit Stop

I will be going back, to ride the world's fastest roller coaster in the near future.
